Jeddah: The Ministry of Commerce has announced that companies have been granted licenses to conduct discount sales as part of the Saudi National Day. More than 4700 licenses have been granted to organizations in various sectors. More than 37 million products will get discount through this. The ministry reminded that underselling without a special license in the country is punishable.
2241 licenses were allotted to commercial establishments and 436 licenses to electronic stores. Apart from this, 2040 licenses have also been specifically granted to commercial establishments and e-stores to provide promotional offers. Through this, more than 37 million products including food, electronics, electrical appliances, perfumes, smartphones, clothing for men, women and children will get discounts as part of the National Day celebrations.
There is a rule in the country to obtain a special license from the Ministry of Commerce to declare a discount and sell at a reduced price. As part of this, more than 4,700 licenses were issued across the country within four days of the start of the selling season.
