From Fame to Care: A Singer’s Journey to Finding Purpose

In the 90s, singer Irina Osaulenko, better known as Rusya, was no less popular than her younger sister Natasha Koroleva. The artist recorded hits and sold out stadiums – it seemed that her fame would last for many years, but suddenly everything ended. The celebrity disappeared from the radar and went to a foreign land.

It turns out that the reason was the illness of the performer’s son, because of which she was forced to leave the stage. The star’s eldest child, who suffered from cerebral palsy, died at the age of 10. Now the woman is responsible for caring for her son with autism, as well as her youngest daughter. The family has been living in the USA for many years.

Rusya is not even thinking about returning to the stage. The singer found herself a simple but important job. Osaulenko works in a kindergarten, taking care of American children. A former artist, she often learns simple songs about the alphabet with her students.
