Recently, the situation of graffiti and leaflet posting on walls in Ho Chi Minh City has shown signs of outbreak. To solve this situation, localities have launched many initiatives. The most outstanding solution is District 5’s solution when covering electric poles with green grass. According to this locality, the solution has reduced the situation of posting flyers and graffiti by up to 95%.

“In the past, the cafe was sprayed with paint and graffiti a lot. Since the cafe started painting, it no longer has graffiti like before” – said an employee of a cafe in Phu Nhuan district.
Specifically, many electric poles, house walls, and schools at Huynh Van Banh, Tran Huy Lieu (Phu Nhuan district), Vo Thi Sau (district 3), and Nguyen Binh Khiem (district 1) streets are decorated with decorative symbols. Colorful paintings, many sizes and vivid themes.
“I find drawing pictures to prevent people from posting advertisements to be both beautiful and useful. I think this model should be replicated” – said Mr. Nguyen Duc Huy, Phu Nhuan district.
Similarly, on Nguyen Binh Khiem street intersecting with Ton Duc Thang street, a wall of about 200m of Saigon University is decorated with many pictures of Vietnamese people and places put together.

In addition to painting, many localities have also installed cameras to punish people who post advertisements and classified ads.
Recently, Thu Duc City also covered park seats with paint to remove images, logos, and black websites drawn by dirty advertisers.
