It is one of the cheapest scooters from traditional manufacturers, yet it is light, easy to control and drives almost for nothing. This is not only why it is a great choice if you are new to one track. You only have to put up with one fly.
Scooters with a 125 engine have been getting a lot of interest in recent years. There is nothing strange about it – cities are filled with both people and cars, traffic jams and slows down, and the one-wheeled vehicle appears to be an unrivaled means of transport in this situation. In addition, anyone with a car license can drive a 120 with an automatic (let’s leave aside the fact that anyone interested in riding a scooter should pay for a few fitness rides to learn how to control the machine), so nothing complicates the journey to the saddle.
In response to customer interest, the offer in the small scooter segment is growing. The Suzuki Address, which we will look at today, is this year’s new product from a proven Japanese brand with many years of experience in the one-track field. At first glance, it is clear that the target group is customers who prefer classic shapes and the smallest possible dimensions. On the second, we will see that Suzuki also attracts with a very competitive price. So what is the latest addition to the Japanese moto stable?

With a touch of retro
In appearance, the Address belongs to the group of scooters betting on retro style, where it has been the uncrowned king of Vespa for many years. However, the very simply conceived Address does not try to imitate it, rather it goes the way of maximum expediency. It doesn’t stand out in terms of design, it’s exactly what most people imagine when they think of a scooter.

You would look in vain for decorative elements or extra refined materials on it, but that’s what makes it endearing. It has the honesty of the simple machines you may have driven around Italian or Greek villages on holiday. Given that the Address is manufactured in India, where it was also developed at the Suzuki plants, this association is not out of place.
In the name of simplicity
The clear instrument panel includes a traditional analog speedometer, fuel level indicator, total mileage or time and the usual warning lights. An interesting feature is the light arc, which lights up either blue or green depending on how ecologically you are currently driving in terms of the balance between performance and fuel consumption. It’s hard to expect the driver to adapt the ride to the lights, but it’s a nice detail for toys.

The rest of the controls are simple as can be – blinkers, horn and a push-button start that doesn’t need to be held. By the way, Address is also equipped with a starter lever, or kicker, in case you encounter the inconvenience of a dead battery.
Where to with the helmet and shopping?
When it comes to practicality, you will be pleased with the quite deep box under the handlebars, next to which there is a conveniently located USB charging socket. You can put your phone in the compartment, but you can also fit a smaller bottle of water. The hook is also useful when you need to hang up a shopping bag that you couldn’t stuff into the saddlebag.
Nothing can stop you in the city! The Vespa Primavera 125 can handle the streets and traffic jams
And that brings us to probably the biggest fly of an otherwise successful scooter. The underseat compartment (unlocked by turning the key) offers 21.8 liters, but a normal helmet cannot fit in it, even when open. If you insist on locking the helmet under the saddle, you must buy an “open face” type and, to be sure, try it when you buy it to see if it fits. It is probably a legacy of the country of origin, where it is as hot as a laundry all year round and no one has ever heard of an integral.
9 horses is enough
The scooter is powered by a four-stroke single cylinder with a volume of 124 cubic centimeters. The paper output of 6.4 kW, I admit, surprised me a little, because for a driver with a B, the scooter can have an output of half as much – so why not use it? But in practice, it turned out that the engine, proven in millions of scooters sold, can do quite well with its nine horses. It doesn’t have the slightest problem in city traffic, even on faster roads such as city circuits. Address runs at 90 without any problems, with a little effort and the wind at your back you can get it to 100.

Then when you come to the gas station, you will be pleased with the tank cap located above the rear light. Although it is a small thing, anyone who has ever spilled gasoline on the tread or even things in the storage areas can appreciate it.
You may be at the gas station more often than you expect, as the tank only holds 5 liters. Even with a great consumption of 2 liters per hundred or even less, you will only drive around 250 kilometers. On the other hand, it will probably last a long time in the city.
Agile and nimble
Weighing just 105 kilograms, the Address is an ideal machine for beginners, lightweights and insecure riders who would find the extra kilos troublesome. At the same time, however, it has something of the roughness and durability of the aforementioned scooters from Mediterranean rental companies. He seems like a hard worker and you definitely don’t feel like you should handle him with gloves. Brake, gas and sharp turns, the Address is perfect for nimble driving in busy streets, and despite its relatively subtle construction, it doesn’t seem fragile or insecure.
Compulsory liability is subject to changes. It will also be available on some electric scooters
If you look at the wheels – 12 in the front and 10 in the back – you’ll inevitably be worried about how much you’ll knock out the seals on the cobblestones, but the reality will pleasantly surprise you. Of course, it is advisable to pay attention to larger transverse unevenness – especially if you are driving fast, because a strong kick in the rear can scare an unprepared rider. But the normal ride is enjoyable, however much you learn about each channel or hole. Beginners will be pleased with the non-biting brakes, which are well dosed, although their overall effect could stand a little strengthening.
How much will you pay for it?
And finally, great news: the price of the Suzuki Address is 59,900 crowns. This makes it one of the cheapest 1520 scooters out there, unless you want to fish in Chinese waters.
