The tragic story became completely different.
The drama “Intergirl” became one of the main films of the end of the USSR. Viewers were shocked by the frank story, in which they told about girls of easy virtue for the first time. Foreign viewers also saw the picture, but their version differed from the original.
As it turned out, the film was actively broadcast in Sweden. And in local cinemas, the “night butterfly” Tanya in the final episodes simply goes to Sweden. In the Soviet version, she tragically dies in a car accident on the way to Leningrad.
It was Sweden that proposed changing the ending. The local investors who helped make the film wanted a happy ending. And therefore, Pyotr Todorovsky released a separate film especially for them.
Viewers learned about the changes only a few years later. Thanks to social networks and cinemas, they were able to see the original film, which at one time shocked the entire USSR.
