The abbreviation of the film’s title – magnetic resonance – hides the events that begin a few days before Christmas, when Matthias leaves his job in Germany and returns to his native village in Transylvania. He worries about his son Rudy, who is growing up without a father and is silent about something horrifying he saw in the forest. Matias’ return is unexpectedly tense when three migrant workers arrive in the village.
