Disney+’s ‘Underground Elite’ Wins Golden Bird Drama Award at Seoul International Television Festival

South Korea’s “18th Seoul International Television Festival” announced the list of winners yesterday. Disney+’s popular Korean crime drama “Underground Elite” won the Golden Bird Drama Award. South Korean actor Choi Min-sik even won the Golden Bird Actor Award for this work.

The Seoul International Television Festival is an annual awards ceremony for TV dramas that has been held since 2006. It is regarded as the highest palace that gathers outstanding drama works from all over the world to participate in the event and compete with each other for awards. The thrilling crime Korean drama “Underground Elite” attracted global attention after it was released on Disney+. The work has become the most watched Korean original series in the history of Disney+ in Korea. “Underground Elite” is South Korea’s top actor Choi Min-sik’s first TV series in more than 25 years of acting.
