The GTX-A route from Suseo to Dongtan has begun trial operation with the goal of opening in April next year.
When the entire route is completed in 2028, travel time from the metropolitan area to downtown Seoul is expected to be dramatically shortened to less than 30 minutes.

In the early morning, when all the last trains have stopped running, a subway train leisurely pulls into Suseo Station.
This is a GTX-A line vehicle, a metropolitan area express railway that starts from Unjeong Station in Paju, passes through Seoul Station and ends at Dongtan Station.
Starting this month, we began trial operation on a 40km section from Suseo Station to Dongtan Station.

Total passenger capacity is 1,062.
To ensure that there were no safety issues even when capacity was fully filled, several 1.5-ton water tanks were loaded into each compartment.
The travel time from Suseo Station to Dongtan Station is only 20 minutes.
With a maximum speed of 180 km/h, it is almost twice as fast as a regular subway, but its advantage is that it produces less noise and vibration.

The fare has not yet been determined, but it is likely that a separate fare of 1,600 won will be added to the basic subway fare, and an additional fee of 250 won per 5 km will be added.
The Suseo to Dongtan section will open first in April next year, and the route will be expanded from Paju Unjeong to Seoul Station in the second half of the year.
When the entire line is completed in 2028, it is expected that a living area will be created within 30 minutes from the metropolitan area to downtown Seoul.
