This Friday, the ICT Minister, Mauricio Lizcanodelivered technological tools to 106 Educational Institutions in the department, with an investment of $3,862 million.
The day in Valledupar began in Casimiro Maestre Educational Institution, where they announced the delivery of 785 ‘Computers to Educate’ for 32 educational centers in the city, which benefit nearly 11,000 children and adolescents from Valledupar.
“The purpose of the Government of Change is to promote the use of technologies as the most important path for development. We want to connect to Cesar, and that is why we have asked the rulers to tell us in which areas there is no connectivity so that together we can assemble the Connectivity Map, and we can prioritize the places that need it most, to take it to all areas of the country“said the minister.
Minister Lizcano took advantage of this visit to socialize the Connectivity Communities strategy, in which the Community Action Boards and the associations and/or representatives of the Afro, indigenous and Raizal communities will be able to bring the Internet to their communities, achieving greater connectivity coverage.
This project impacts communities in 16 municipalities of Cesar, so the minister recalled that it is a joint task. “The communities organize themselves and the Government supports them to provide this service”he explained.
