New material has been released online presenting the gameplay of the upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2. The director of this RPG talks in a spectacular film about the available vocations and the game world.

As part of the ongoing Tokyo Game Show 2023, a new, quite long one was presented material from the game Dragon’s Dogma 2. A nine-minute film in which its director, Hideaki Itsuno, is a guide to the features of the upcoming RPG, you can see below.
The gameplay seems to be a fairly faithful transfer of everything that made the original Dragon’s Dogma so beloved, into the present, and equipped with a very attractive visual setting, worthy of the ninth generation of consoles.
The material introduces vocations, i.e. the local character classes. The player can change them at any time during the “Calling Guilds” adventure. There will be four basic callings in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The warrior fights with a sword and shield, the archer can reach distant enemies with his weapon, the magician wields supernatural powers, and the thief uses two short blades, making him the most agile.
Over time, the player will unlock advanced vocations – two of them are presented in the film. Mystic Spearhand can use magic in ranged combat, and in the case of close contact with the enemy, he will use a spear. Magick Archer is another variation on the theme of a magician who uses a bow and enchanted arrows.
There was also a closer look at the game world. In Dragon’s Dogma 2, the human kingdom, Vermund, and the beast realm, Battahl, expand. Nights are especially dangerous because you can encounter unique and dangerous enemies. Therefore, it is worth taking “pawns” with you who will help you in battle – you can travel with a maximum of three such companions controlled by artificial intelligence.
Let us remind you that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC. The game’s release date is not known yet.
