Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Dorna boss Carlos Ezpeleta believes in the event MotoGP India 2023 at the Buddh Circuit this weekend will run smoothly even though preparations have been marred by a number of problems.
“For us, it’s encouraging [menyelenggarakan MotoGP] India, which is a continent in itself, is very important,” said Ezpelata as quoted by AFP.
“This [India] “is the largest two-wheeler market in the world and is very important for us, our stakeholders and manufacturers,” he said, adding to the importance of racing in India.
Ahead of the 13th MotoGP 2023 series in India, a number of obstacles have emerged. Some of these include paddocks that are not sterile from spectators and difficult Indian entry visas.
All kinds of obstacles are considered as dynamics for the inaugural racing season in India. Chaos is inevitable, but looking positively is considered the best option.
Regarding the race track which is considered not wide enough, we don’t want it to become a problem. All parties, including racers, will be invited to conquer the challenges that arise in India.
Spanish racer Aleix Espargaro, for example, chose to focus on the race rather than being busy with unfavorable situations. For him, this is the best way to get to the podium.
“In India, all the riders will walk the track together before we get on the bike [balapan] to understand the situation,” said Aleix as quoted by the same source.
The Main Director of MotoGP India Vaibhav Sinha guaranteed that all obstacles would be overcome before the race. He asked for support from all parties so that this race runs smoothly.
“We intend to exploit this potential [MotoGP India 2023] to make motorbike riding a very big sport in our country,” Vaibhav said.
