We remind you that in recent days the tension between Kyiv and Warsaw has escalated. It all started with Poland’s decision to extend the ban on Ukrainian grain imports beyond September 15, even though the EU lifted the embargo. Kiev threatened to take retaliatory measures, and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki sent a clear message – if the Ukrainian authorities escalate this conflict, Warsaw will expand the list of banned products.

Subsequently, Poland announced that it could stop supporting Ukraine if there was no approval for it inside the country. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi commented on this issue during his visit to New York and his words caused outrage in Warsaw. His statement that “some in Europe are playing political theater by making a thriller out of grain” was sharply received there. And Zelensky did not hesitate to add the following: “It may seem that they are playing their part, but in fact they are helping to prepare the stage for the Moscow actor.”
The escalation continued today, after the Polish deputy from the coalition of far-right political parties “Confederation of Freedom and Independence” Krzysztof Bosak held an action in front of the Ukrainian embassy in Warsaw, presenting a list of the funds spent by Poland in support of Kiev since the beginning of the Russian invasion. In this way, he “requested” an account from Ukraine for the help that his country provided in connection with Russian aggression.
