Local Festivities in Lauragais: Celebrations in Mourvilles-Basses, Montbrun-Lauragais, Juzes, Lauzerville, and Daujas (Bad) – September 2023

September is coming to an end, but Lauragais is still celebrating. This weekend, several municipalities are still organizing their local festivities.

Meals, fireworks, concerts, balls or pétanque competitions… Here is the program for the municipalities of Mourvilles-Basses, Montbrun-Lauragais, Juzes, Lauzerville and the hamlet of Daujas in Mauvaisin from Friday September 22 to Sunday September 24, 2023.

Mourvilles-Basses

Friday September 22: belote competition in the village hall at 9 p.m. (€8). Saturday September 23: hiking (12 km) at 9 a.m. departing from Place de la Mairie with snack; “grilled” meal at 12:30 p.m. in the village hall (€10 for adults and €5 for children aged 8 to 12); games and pétanque at 4 p.m. on the Town Hall Square, free; “pork axoa” meal at 8 p.m. in the village hall (€17 per person). Sunday September 24: Sunday mass at 11 a.m. at Saint-André church; tribute ceremony at the war memorial at 12 p.m.; aperitif at 12:30 p.m. on the Town Hall Square; picnic at 1:30 p.m. on the Town Hall Square (€5 per person).

Montbrun-Lauragais

Friday, September 22: committee aperitif at 7:45 p.m.; “moungetado-sausage” meal at 8 p.m. (€18 for adults, €9 for children and free for under 10s); musical evening with Matsone from 9 p.m. Saturday September 23: Echo Montbrun Tour 2023 at 10 a.m.; pétanque competition at 2 p.m.; committee aperitif at 7 p.m.; “mussels and fries” meal (€18 for adults, €9 for children and free for under 10s) at 7:30 p.m.; broadcast of the South Africa – Ireland match at 9 p.m.; dance party with DJ Platinium at 10 p.m.; fireworks at 10:30 p.m. and resumption of the dance to follow. Sunday September 24: Mass at 9:30 a.m.; wreath laying at the war memorial at 10:30 a.m.; wine of honor offered by the municipality at 11 a.m.; belote competition and activities for children at 3 p.m.; visit to the mill from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Throughout the festival: refreshment bar and fairground attractions.

Daujas (Bad)

Friday September 22: belote competition in four parts (€6 per person) at 9 p.m. Saturday September 23: friendly doubles pétanque competition (€5 per person) at 2 p.m.; games for children, hair and makeup (under the responsibility of the parents) at 2:30 p.m.; aperitif-concert at 7 p.m.; “cassoulet” meal at 7:30 p.m. (€18 for adults, €11 for children aged 7 to 12, free for children under 7, reservations at 06 74 73 11 01 or 06 79 45 92 95); ball with the Joe Béatrice orchestra (variety, musette) at 10 p.m. Sunday September 24: mass and ceremony at the war memorial at 11 a.m., followed by an aperitif offered by the municipality.

Juzes

Friday September 22: belote competition at 9 p.m. Saturday September 23: doubles pétanque competition at 2:30 p.m.; bouncy castle at 2:30 p.m.; “cassoulet” meal at 8 p.m. (€18 for adults and €10 for 6-12 year olds and free for under 6 year olds) and evening with DJ Seb. Sunday, September 24: mass at 11:15 a.m. followed by wreath-laying; aperitif offered by the festival committee at 12 p.m.

Friday September 22: pop rock concert with the group Floyed Peppers at 9 p.m.; DJ Léo at 11:30 p.m. Saturday September 23: doublet pétanque competition at 1:30 p.m. (€10); wooden games for all ages at 2 p.m.; “pig on a spit” meal (€18 and €10 for under 10s) or “veggie menu” (€18) at 8 p.m. (registration date passed); concert with the Koncept orchestra at 9:30 p.m.; DJ Léo at 1 a.m. Sunday September 24: prayers at 10:30 a.m. at Saint-Michel-Archange church; laying of wreaths at 11:15 a.m. at the war memorial; inauguration of municipal workshops at 11:30 a.m. followed by an aperitif dinner offered by the municipality.
