″I’ve never seen a situation like this before, so it’s so sudden. “I heard wind and thunder, and then the whole sky turned dark.”

The scene of a tornado-ravaged village in eastern China’s Jiangsu Province was devastating.

Single-story houses built of red brick collapsed beyond recognition, cars overturned on the roads, and street trees were uprooted.

Electric poles were tilted or toppled by gusts of wind and wires were cut, causing fires to break out in various places.

″Local emergency management and power departments are working on emergency repairs.″

There was a tornado in this town about a month ago, and at least two people were killed and 15 were injured.

Due to the unprecedented heavy rain and typhoon that hit China last month, more than 80,000 people suffered property damage, and 168 people died or went missing.

However, even after this heavy rain has passed, damage continues due to various natural disasters such as tornadoes and earthquakes that appear sporadically.
