Ivan Perisic seriously injured his knee during training and will require surgery, Tottenham announced on Wednesday, predicting unavailability for the remainder of the 2023/2024 season. The 2018 world vice-champion suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee.

He will have to undergo an operation and “should be unavailable for the rest of the season”, said Spurs, second in the championship two points behind leader Manchester City. The 34-year-old Croatian left winger, formerly of Wolfsburg and Inter Milan in particular, came into play during the first five days of the Premier League.
