Jakarta –
This nasi kandar place in Malaysia went viral not because of the deliciousness of the food. But because the seller poured the food sauce until it splashed onto his hands and clothes.
Cleanliness is the main focus that restaurant or eating place owners must provide to visitors. In fact, the cleanliness standards of these eating places are usually directly monitored by local health officials.
But it’s different with the kandar rice restaurant located in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This restaurant is known as Nasi Kandar Gani Maju, which serves dozens of typical Malay dishes.
This restaurant is quite famous for its delicious nasi kandar or Malaysian rice rames. However, there is one thing that made netizens suddenly reluctant to eat at this place, after @danialazmi’s TikTok video went viral.

In the video, Danial can be seen ordering nasi kandar with fried chicken, boiled eggs, green chilies and several other side dishes. And the rice is doused with curry sauce and some curry sauce.
At first glance, there was nothing wrong with this video, until netizens realized that the seller’s way of pouring the sauce seemed careless. So the seller’s hands and clothes were covered with spilled food sauce which crusted over the skin of his hands.
“The water (food sauce) on the arm is thicker than the water (food sauce) on the hand. Kandar rice lovers can try Kandar Bendi Nasi KL,” suggested Danial.
Of course, this video immediately invited many comments from netizens. Most of the netizens who watched this video became so lazy about eating that they didn’t want to eat nasi kandar anymore.
“Oh, I really like nasi kandar. When I see this, I feel lazy to eat, I can imagine the remaining sauce sticking to our hands dripping onto our dinner plates. That must taste salty from sweat,” complained @aci**.

“Hahahaha, I once experienced something unpleasant when I ate nasi kandar. There were nose hairs in my rice, at that time I ate it at nasi kandar in Penang,” recalled @has***.
“Now every time I want to eat nasi kandar, I will definitely remember this video, until in the end I don’t eat nasi kandar,” continued @ij**.
Previously there was also a story about a chicken rice seller in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. He sold chicken rice for IDR 12 thousand but received criticism from netizens. The reason is, the seller prepares the chicken rice only with his bare hands.
