Three Courtepaille restaurants in the urban area of Toulouse change ownership and will offer a new concept. In a few months, restaurants Blagnac, Balma and Fenouillet will become Jacques, French-style restaurant-pubs. It is the Toulouse group All for you which bought the three establishments.
Famous thatched roof
Courtepaille, it is an institution in peripheral commercial areas in France. Recognizable thanks to their famous round thatched roofs, the restaurants have long delighted customers on a limited budget, fans of a simple menu and quick service.
But it is also a turbulent economic story. Since the creation of the chain’s first restaurant in 1961 in Côte-d’Or, Courtepaille establishments have passed through the hands of multiple owners and investment funds.
Judicial recovery last June

In March 2023, Courtepaille was placed in receivership. The La Boucherie group bought just under 90 restaurants, 130 were forced to close. Like those of Balma, Blagnac and Tournefeuille. Three establishments which have therefore aroused the interest of the All for you group, already owner of renowned addresses in Toulouse, such as L’Envol or Ma biche sur le Toit.
Desire to develop on the outskirts of Toulouse
“We are already very present in the city center of Toulouse,” recalls Arnaud Chérubin, one of the bosses of All for you. We saw an opportunity to develop in the outskirts. We said to ourselves that we were going to create a new concept. And that’s where we had the idea of Jacques. »
Jacques, three French-style pub restaurants will open in the coming months in Fenouillet (mid-November); Balma (mid-January) and Blagnac (mid-February). Three establishments which will offer a menu traditional dishes at low prices.
Barbaque in the kitchen
“Beef bourguignon, blanquette, stew, leek vinaigrette, pâté en croute… lists Arnaud Chérubin. As a starter, main course and dessert, we want to offer the favorite dishes of the French! »

The menu will be developed by Fabien Mast, the chef of the Barbaque restaurants, in downtown Toulouse. Beautiful pieces of meat will also be on the menu of Jacques restaurants.
The establishments will also offer a nice wine list and numerous beers, mainly brewed in France.
60 positions to fill
To support the opening of these three new establishments, the All for you group plans to recruit around sixty people, in all areas of catering and service.
Former employees of the three Courtepailles in the Toulouse area are of course invited to send their CVs; their applications will be given a particularly sympathetic look.
Applications should be sent to the following address: [email protected]
Open 7 days a week, party time as a bonus
Les Jacques will be open seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. And establishments should attract those who like to party: karaoke, blind test, theme evenings or even comedy club evenings will be regularly offered. Major sporting events will also be broadcast in the Jacques.
The future Jacques are currently in the construction phase, before opening in several weeks. Good news: the emblematic thatched roofs will be preserved.
