Saudi Arabia says that the only solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict is an independent Palestinian state. A ministerial meeting convened as part of efforts to restore peace in the Middle East was held in New York under the chairmanship of the Saudi Foreign Minister. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that there is no solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The minister who arrived in New York to participate in the UN General Assembly meeting was responding to the media. The humanitarian violations suffered by Palestine must be resolved. Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Ghaith, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs Joseph Borrell attended the ministerial meeting. Representatives of 70 countries and international organizations and 50 representatives from other countries participated in the meeting. The ministerial meeting discussed issues such as working together for peace in the West Asia, forming special committees for political, economic and humanitarian activities to ensure peace in the Arab region.
