ROME – The men’s national team, fresh from winning the silver medal in the European Championships, is ready to turn the page and move towards the last, important commitment of the season: the Olympic qualifying tournament which will see the Azzurri as protagonists in Rio de Janeiro from 30 September to October 8 (Pool A). The top two in the pool will qualify for the Paris 2024 Games (played using the round robin formula).
Technical Commissioner Ferdinando De Giorgi confirmed the 14 athletes of the continental event.
Setters: Simone Giannelli, Riccardo Sbertoli.
Spikers: Mattia Bottolo, Daniele Lavia, Alessandro Michieletto, Tommaso Rinaldi.
Centrals: Gianluca Galassi, Leandro Mosca, Roberto Russo, Giovanni Sanguinetti.

The Italian group will meet in Cavalese starting from Thursday 21 September with the departure for Brazil set for Tuesday 26 September in the evening from Venice.
