Dresden – He approached. At first the crossbar stood in his way when the half-time whistle blew, but six minutes after the restart he hit the far corner with an angled shot. With his 1-0 winning goal in Lübeck, Jakob Lemmer (23) was the second match winner at Dynamo Dresden alongside keeper Stefan Drljaca (24).

The 23-year-old was beaming after the final whistle. His first goal of the season brought three points and gave him the certainty that he could still score.
That wasn’t just good for him. He scored his last goal in the preseason on May 6th in a 3-1 win against Wiesbaden. In previous games he had missed his first goal of the season several times.
On matchday 5, in the 2-0 win against Ingolstadt, Lemmer got his first scorer point when Panagiotis Vlachodimos (31) scored, and now he scored himself. He didn’t want to miss the crossbar shot: “No, I wanted to take a chance,” laughed Lemmer. “Fortunately it worked.”

“I often have the situation in training where I get the ball on the right and try to shoot it into the far corner. The ball went through the defender’s legs and into the back. That’s how it should be, it was perfect,” grinned Lemmer.
After his goal there was 45 minutes of trembling, including stoppage time, combined with a lot of defensive work and a large portion of fight. In the end, Lemmer not only sank to the ground exhausted, but also relieved.
“There was nothing, absolutely nothing left in the tank. Everyone gave it their all, we were relieved that Lübeck didn’t score anymore and will have gotten over it,” said Lemmer.
Dynamo Dresden “Looked at me like a ghost”: Dynamo Drljaca drove Breier to despair!
“Of course VfB still had a few chances. But I think we deserved to win.” Yes, because he scored the goal and the hosts didn’t.
