Apple’s new model uses a lot of non-ferrous recycled materials; 7 types including copper are 100% recycled
The iPhone 15 series, which Apple will start selling in Japan from the 22nd, uses many recycled non-ferrous metals. In addition to using 100% recycled aluminum for the internal structural frame, 100% recycled copper foil is used for the main logic board, promoting the use of recycled materials more than the previous model “iPhone 14” series. Along with the announcement of the new model, the company also announced sustainability goals for its products by 2030, calling for even greater use of recycled materials.
