Apple will release the final build of new versions of operating systems today at 19:00 Czech time
Owners of iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch, and Apple TV will be waiting
On Tuesday, September 12, in the evening, Apple released a Release Candidate build of the iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10 and macOS Sonoma operating systems for all those who participated in the developer program. They are no different from the final ones that will be released today, however, today’s wave of updates will already be intended for the general public. Updates will be available from 19:00 today, only in the case of macOS Sonoma, distribution of the final build should not start until next Tuesday, September 26.
How to install the update?
If your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch does not alert you to the availability of the new version, just go to the menu after 7 p.m. today Settings – General – Update, where the new version should appear for you to download.
iPhones that you update to iOS 17
iOS 17 can no longer be installed on the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X from 2017, in the case of tablets, Apple is to cut off support for the first generation iPad Pro as well as the fifth generation basic iPad. iOS 17 is compatible with the following iPhones:
