Katy Perry has sold the rights to her music. The singer follows several other artists who recently did the same. The agreement with Litmus Music earns her 225 million dollars (about 211 million euros).
Trade magazine Variety reports that this concerns the five albums that Perry released between 2008 and 2020: One of the Boys, Teenage Dream, Prism, Witness in Smile.
The 38-year-old American singer scored hits with songs like California Gurls, Firework in Teenage Dream.
Recently, several other artists also sold their music rights. For example, Justin Bieber signed an agreement with Hipgnosis for just over 200 million dollars.
Phil Collins and the band members of Genesis sold the rights to their music to Concord Music last year for $300 million.
