Forecast: Former Tropical Storms and Stormy Weather Expected

The weatherman sees the low pressure areas coming from far away. In the coming days there will be former tropical storms or hurricanes that previously headed for the United States and Canada and now determine our weather pattern. “Those hurricanes will then turn and come our way. Tomorrow Lee will make landfall with us.”

Storm Lee caused a lot of disruption in Canada. Thousands of people in Nova Scotia were left without power. A man died after a tree fell on his vehicle in the US state of Maine.

Stormy on the Wadden

It won’t be that hard here, but the Wadden area will have to take into account wind force 8 tomorrow, a stormy wind.

Wednesday is an in-between day. “That’s quite a day,” says Dorrestein. It will remain dry and we can even expect some sun.

On Thursday we will have to deal with the former tropical storm Margot. “Then the amount of rain is particularly noticeable.” It is not yet clear exactly what time and how much rain will fall. At the moment it seems to be happening mainly after the morning rush hour.

The mercury will therefore drop below 20 degrees on Friday and Saturday. “After that it seems to pick up a bit,” says Dorrestein.

Sunday looks to be dry. And next week? That’s still a bit too far away. “But the temperature will not drop below 15 degrees. It will be between 17 and 25 degrees. With the sun, it can still be nice.”
