Barcelona Sporting Club Ends 5-Year Streak and Regains Victory in Pro League

Barcelona Sporting Club ended two negative streaks this Sunday, September 17, with the victory (1-0) against Liga de Quito at the Monumental Banco Pichincha stadium: it put an end to 5 years, 10 months and 17 days (2,150 days) without defeat the albos in Guayaquil; and also regained victory in the second stage of the Pro League after four draws.

Janner Corozo was the hero, because with his score the Canaries added 10 points and are once again in the fight to win this phase of the championship, which is led by Mushuc Runa, with 14 points.

From the start, Liga was intense on the right side led by winger Renato Ibarra, and with the support of Jhojan Julio, but they were stopped by Brazilian Leonai Souza and Mario Pineida.

At 7 minutes, the whites made an advance and the ball was served for midfielder Mauricio Martínez to finish, who ended up sending it wide.
