The Court-Martial of Major Madina Kabaloeva: Verdict, Sentence, and Controversy

The court-martial of the Vladikavkaz garrison has concluded that Major Madina Kabaloeva deliberately did not come to the duty station during the mobilization announced in Russia.

Kabaloeva had a recommendation for dismissal from service due to the fact that she is pregnant and has another minor child. This recommendation was issued by the medical company of her army unit.

However, Kabaloeva did not come to the headquarters after the mobilization was announced. That is why a criminal case has been initiated against him.

The woman admitted in court that she did not come to the duty station, however, she was sure that the representatives of the medical company would have informed the commanders about her condition.

The prosecutor’s office, however, insisted that the woman did not retire from service and continued to use the various benefits she was entitled to as a military member.

The court sentenced Kabaloeva to six years in a general regime colony

However, taking into account the fact that the accused has a minor child, the execution of the sentence was postponed until 2032.
