The kings of flamenco “Gypsy Kings” impressed with their performances on the stage of the Vratsa fair. Pablo Reyes and company performed a 2-hour concert that will be talked about for years. Even the rain that fell over the city did not scare the hundreds of their fans who came to sing and dance in the “Hristo Botev” sports complex. The finale of the musical event was illuminated by a magnificent dawn, and then the municipal administration delighted the musicians with a traditional dinner, in which they emphasized kavarma and white wine.
The mayor of Vratsa, Kalin Kamenov, explained where the interest in the group comes from:
“In Vratsa, some listen to rock, others – opera, others fall for the chalga, but we all love the tracks of “Gypsy Kings”
Earlier in the day on Saturday, the kings of flamenco met with the mayor. Together with Pablo Reyes, the members of the band came to meet with the mayor Kalin Kamenov: Tony Cortes, Billy Cortes, Antoine Cortes, Alain Natal and Mikael Cantarel. The group last played in St. Petersburg /Russia/, and before that in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana.
They gave a unique greeting:
After Vratsa, the kings left for concerts in America, and their appearance on stage at the “Hristo Botev” sports complex was the only one in Bulgaria.
