The Transmission and Symptoms of Stomach Bacteria: Insights from Dr. Saud Al-Shehri

Al-Marsad newspaper: Family physician Dr. Saud Al-Shehri revealed how stomach bacteria are transmitted from an infected person, and its most prominent symptoms.

Al-Shehri said, in a video clip on his account on the “X” platform: Stomach bacteria are transmitted in two ways, either through an infected person or through food that is clean.

He added: If there is a person infected with a stomach bacteria and he went to the bathroom and after defecating, he did not wash his hands and ate from the same plate, that is, it is transmitted through feces on the plate or this infected person through saliva.

He continued: Vomiting: “If someone has a stomach germ and comes back, he may transmit the stomach germ to you,” pointing out: Studies on swimming pools are conflicting, and most say that stomach germs are not transmitted through swimming pools.

He pointed out that the symptoms of stomach bacteria include stomach pain that increases with hunger, belching, heartburn, nausea, gas, lack of appetite, and the stool may be dark.
