Resurgence of Titanfall 2: A Glimmer of Hope for the Beloved Game

Titanfall and its sequel Titanfall 2 are a somewhat sad story. Both games were excellent but never achieved the sales figures they truly deserved, and the third game was never released. Instead, the spin-off Apex Legends (which takes place in the same universe and has few other similarities) is the only thing left of the two classic games today.

But without any warning, Respawn suddenly decided to update Titanfall 2 just in time for the weekend, a game that has been nearly unplayable for years, with broken servers (mainly PC) and a fairly small community (all formats). With things sorted out and regular playlist updates, players are back.

according toSteamDBAccording to the data, the weekend peaked at 23,234 concurrent players – which is not far from the all-time peak of 27,631 concurrent players two years ago. While we weren’t able to get such detailed data from consoles, we tried the Xbox version and quickly started playing matches, proving that a lot of people seemed to be playing on consoles as well.

There are a few people hoping that this might be a sign that Titanfall 3 is actually coming, but we strongly recommend that you keep all those hopes at a reasonable level, as the risk of disappointment is high.
