Nonagenarian Allegedly Kills Wife in Tenerife: Provisional Prison Order Issued – Latest Updates

Provisional prison for the nonagenarian who allegedly killed his wife in Tenerife

The substitute judge in the Violence Court number 2 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has issued an order for the man to be placed in attenuated provisional prison. 92 years old who allegedly killed yesterday in Tenerife to his wife, 91, and who will therefore enter a special module of the prison.

The Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) reported this Wednesday the decision of the judge, María Lourdes Goya, after trying take a statement from the detaineewhich has not been possible for reasons related to his age and because, apparently, he shows symptoms of dementia.

The autonomous high court specifies that for this same reason the detainee will enter a special module of the prison and points out that the investigative proceedings related to this case remain open.

This man was arrested after the lifeless body of his wife with signs of violence appeared in their home in the Valle Guerra townin the municipality of La Laguna.
