In conditions that are still being investigated by the New York Police, an 80-year-old man was murdered by a gunshot to the head in the Highbride neighborhood of the Bronx.
According to authorities, the older adult was found dead around 1:00 a.m. this Sunday, after gunshots were heard at the intersection of West 168th Street and Ogden Avenue.
The victim’s death was declared at the scene. The suspect who shot him in the head allegedly fled on a scooter.
So far, the NYPD has made no arrests and the motive for the shooting is unknown.

All motorcycle and scooter drivers must have a driver’s license issued by the New York Department of Vehicles (DMV).
In order to circulate in New York City, motorcycles must be registered, have insurance, and pass their annual inspection.
