One of the strongest selling points for Bethesda’s latest open-world RPG is the flexibility it gives players to create characters and spaceships, which can be used to recreate famous people and ships from games, films and TV series.

Naturally, many of these creative designs were taken from famous sci-fi films such as Alien and Star Wars. And now one player has recreated a spaceship from one of BioWare’s most iconic franchises.

Reddit user SexyGandalph posted screenshots its stunningly accurate replica of the Normandy from Mass Effect. In particular, this ship resembles the SR-2 from Mass Effect 2 due to the orange highlights and afterburner flames.

For many fans, the Normandy is almost as synonymous with Mass Effect as Captain Shepard, as it was the rugged starship that carried them and their ragtag crew of allies across the Milky Way galaxy in BioWare’s original trilogy. The Normandy was originally given to Shepard during a mission to find the bandit Specter Saren and was considered the crown jewel of the Alliance fleet due to its advanced stealth technology. At the beginning of Mass Effect 2 it was destroyed, but the Cerberus organization built a second Normandy. This ship was captured and refitted by the Alliance for the final battle against the Reapers in Mass Effect 3.

It’s unknown if the Normandy will appear in Mass Effect 4, but fans have fond memories of the rugged ship traveling to Ilos, traversing the Omega-4 Relay, and engaging the Reapers over the battlefields of Earth. Thanks to Starfield’s ship-building mechanics, players can now travel the universe behind the bridge of an iconic ship.
