As the minutes passed, spirits rose, to the point where they began to attack the PNC unit.
At one point, one of the angry neighbors managed to open the door and several people grabbed one of the alleged hitmen by the legs and dragged him out.
The PNC agents could do nothing to prevent it, and, although they tried to mediate for his release, the people took them away.

After beating them all day, the residents managed to get one of the alleged hitmen to confess who had sent them from the capital city to commit the act. Then they poured gasoline on the first of the two men and set him on fire in the Pacuch village, around 6:30 p.m. It is estimated that an hour later, the second one was set on fire.
While the beaten man was burning, neighbors shouted slogans against crime. “Marero seen, marero dead,” was one of the cries. “This is so that the capital city can see what we are capable of doing. Here in Sacapulas we are working people,” they shouted.
At night, PNC agents located the charred remains of the two men and notified the Public Ministry (MP) to collect evidence.
