Chloé Herbiet Sets Second Best Belgian Half-Marathon Time at Copenhagen Event

Chloé Herbiet achieved the second best Belgian time in half-marathon history in 1h11:20 during the Copenhagen event, this Sunday in Denmark. The 24-year-old Famennoise took 21st place.

Victory went to Kenyan Irine Cheptai in 1h05:53.

Chloé Herbiet, Belgian cross-country vice-champion, improved her personal best by 1:39 over the 21.1 km. She is now the 2nd Belgian performer in history behind Belgian record holder Marleen Renders who clocked 1h08:56 on March 23, 2002 in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Chloé Herbiet came close to the minimum required for the 2024 European Championships in Rome, set at 1h10:30.
