US Nuclear Bomber Practices Strikes on Crimea: Breaking Through Russian Air Defenses

A US nuclear bomber flew over the Black Sea and practiced strikes on the peninsula.

“On September 15, the strategic nuclear bomber Boeing B-52H Stratofortress of the US Air Force practiced the use of cruise missiles from the Black Sea in the Crimea, training “breaking through” air defense and the “A2/AD access denial bubble,” reports the Navodka telegram channel with a link from tracking bloggers for military aviation FR-24, ADS-B Exchange, AR and PR.

As Navodka noted, the Pentagon and NATO annually conduct nuclear strike exercises against Russia, including Crimea and the Central Federal District. In winter, similar exercises were carried out in Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg.

“In 2018, the OSINT portal intercepted an “emergency action message” – a coded order to US nuclear forces to launch a strike. During an exercise to counter Russia from the ground, the crew of the B-52 “Doom 61” was twice given a “strike” code of letters and numbers,” reports Navodka.
