The introduction of the third generation of Peugeot 3008 it is the opportunity for the Stellantis Group to present its new STLA Medium platform. It is a high-level platform capable of hosting hybrid and 100% electric engines, for vehicles whose overall dimensions vary between 4.30 m and 4.90 m.
On the occasion of the presentation of the new Peugeot 3008, its engineers confirmed that the vehicle would be able to handle a power greater than 320 CV available at launch.
This information confirms the technical specifications provided by Stellar a few months ago, when the group declared that its STLA Medium platform would offer up to 388 hp of all-electric power. A level of power that, obviously, would accompany the four-wheel drivelegitimizing the passage of the 3008 into the expert hands of the Peugeot Sport department for the assignment of the PSE (Peugeot Sport Engineered) brand.

Although Peugeot seemed to have abandoned the development of this sports brand, its revival on the 508 sedan and the 508 station wagon suggests the definition of a real range. The poor sales of the 508 sports flagship have evidently not discouraged the executives, who are probably capitalizing on the image of these exceptional models.
In 2024, or even 2025, Peugeot could formalize the arrival of this bold-looking electric 3008 PSE, with around 388 HP, to replace the 360 HP of the 508 plug-in hybrid.
