DJ alias Njo (55), an illegal parking attendant in Tambora, West Jakarta (Jakbar) has raped the 13 year old child of his boarding house neighbor more than once. Police said the suspect rape victims since early 2023.
“Previously, the perpetrator had had sexual intercourse with the victim more than once, since February 2023,” said Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama in his statement, Sunday (17/9/2023).
Putra explained, DJ alias Njo rape the victim was in the boarding room occupied by the victim’s family. “(The perpetrator raped the victim-ed) while (the victim’s) father and mother were working,” added Putra.
The perpetrator is now being detained at the Tambora Police. The police charged DJ alias Njo with Article 81 jo 76D of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Determination of Perpu Number 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection into Law.
“With a minimum penalty of five years and a maximum of 15 years in prison,” said Putra.

The perpetrator’s actions were revealed after one of the boarding house residents who was returning home from Friday prayers caught the perpetrator in the victim’s boarding room. When we peeked, it turned out that DJ alias Njo was molesting the victim.
Eyewitnesses also rebuked him. And DJ alias Djo immediately ran away. This incident was reported by eyewitnesses to the victim’s parents.
Putra said the perpetrator seduced the victim by giving him a sum of money before and after his depraved act. The amount of money the perpetrator gave the victim ranged from IDR 10 to IDR 50 thousand.
“The perpetrator had sexual intercourse with the victim during the day, between 13.00 and 14.00 WIB, during working hours. Because at that time the boarding house environment is usually quiet, because the occupants are working,” explained Putra.
