Governor Inaugurates New Building for “Hormiguita Viajera” Garden in Pomán

Governor Raúl Jalil, together with the mayor of Pomán, Francisco Gordillo and the minister of education, Andrea Centurión, inaugurated the new building of the “Hormiguita Viajera” garden, belonging to JIN N°16 of the Villa de Pomán.

As part of the celebration of the 390th anniversary of the Pomán department, the opening ceremony of the new initial level educational building was held that will house 70 boys and girls from 3 to 5 years old.

The work had an investment of more than $69 million pesos, with national and provincial funds, and has three classrooms designed and suitable for the initial level. In addition, it includes bathrooms with equipment fully adapted to the age of the children, a multipurpose room (SUM), kitchen, management room, playground, among other spaces.

During the opening ceremony, 481 netbooks from the “Sigamos Conectados” program were also delivered, destined for secondary schools in Pomán.

Minister Andrea Centurión highlighted in her speech the joint work with the national government: “This is the fourth garden that we inaugurated in three months, with national funds, this is true proof that we have a national project that supports the provinces, the federalism and public education”.

Along these lines, he added: “this new building generates many opportunities for education and is proof that we have a mayor who has education as a state policy and a governor who has made the decision to invest in education. We need a project that defends education and this is the best example. Let’s continue supporting this project.”

For her part, Alicia Morales, director of JIN N°16 of Pomán, expressed: “Today is a very special day, that of a dream come true, that of our own house, adapted to our level. At first we saw it far away and today It’s something concrete.”

“This building that is being given to us will be the space for our children to acquire, work and strengthen their knowledge. It is a significant moment because it marks a before and after, a symbol of growth and development.”

The event was accompanied by the Minister of Water, Energy and Environment, Lucas Zampieri and the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sports, Roberto Brunello.
