The teachers’ assembly, which took a week off last weekend, was held again.
Teachers called for the speedy passage of the so-called ‘4 Teachers’ Rights Act’ in the plenary session of the National Assembly to restore the collapsed teaching rights.
Above all, he emphasized that the provisions on emotional abuse are ambiguous and that revisions to the Child Welfare Act are absolutely necessary.
Reporter Kim Min-hyuk covered the story.

The front of the National Assembly building was once again filled with teachers.
Organizers estimate about 30,000 people.
After 7 consecutive weeks of meetings, we gathered again in 2 weeks.
Voices of encouragement continued for the teachers who had been with us so far.
Teachers urged the plenary session to quickly pass the so-called ‘Four Teacher Rights Restoration Act’ that passed the National Assembly Standing Committee.
They all agreed that the current law is forcing field teachers into legal disputes, and that the ’emotional abuse’ clause in the Child Welfare Act in particular needs to be revised.
Six teacher organizations also participated and contributed to the rally.
These organizations demanded that the bill related to religious rights be passed as the first bill in the regular National Assembly.
The plenary session of the National Assembly, which will be a watershed for the restoration of church authority, will be held on the 21st.
