TRIBUNPONTIANAK.CO.ID, PONTIANAK – Head of the West Kalimantan Province Health Service (Dinkes) Erna Yulianti said the West Kalimantan provincial government is taking various steps to reduce the number of cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD).
For information, the West Kalimantan Health Office recorded cases of morbidity due to dengue fever reaching 2303 cases by September 2023.

First, the West Kalimantan Health Office has taken concrete steps by distributing dengue prevention logistics throughout West Kalimantan, including providing equipment and materials needed to reduce the mosquito population.
“The efforts made by the Provincial Health Office to reduce the number of dengue fever, first the Provincial Health Office distributes dengue fever logistics to districts and cities according to demand, such as lavarsides, insecticides and rapid diagnostic tests,” said Erna, Saturday 16 September 2023.

Second, the West Kalimantan Health Office will emphasize the importance of active collaboration between the Provincial Health Office and the District/City Health Office.
Third, the West Kalimantan Health Office asked local health officials to increase efforts to monitor, prevent and control dengue fever in their respective regions.
Fourth, the West Kalimantan Provincial Government, said Erna, will carry out health promotion through electronic media and mass media.
“We also remind the City District Health Office to make efforts to handle dengue fever and remind the public to carry out PHBS or Clean and Healthy Living Behavior and PSN or Mosquito Nest Eradication and carry out the 3 M,” he said.
