Announcement of new wireless headphones “Bose QuietComfort Headphones”

“QuietComfort Headphones” are the successor model of “Bose Quiet Comfort 45” released in 2021. Also, it is a product one grade below the “QuietComfort Ultra Headphones” that were announced at the same time.

A minor update model that follows the iconic design of the Bose Quiet Comfort 45. In addition to the noise canceling mode “Quiet”, these wireless headphones are equipped with an external sound capture mode “Aware”.

“Quiet” mode uses microphones on the inside and outside of the earcups, combined with Bose’s proprietary digital chip, to detect and cancel out mid-range noises that occur on commuter trains or in the office. Enjoy music, podcasts, movies, etc. in silence. “Aware” is a mode that allows you to pick up surrounding sounds, allowing you to walk or have a conversation while wearing the headphones.

The Bose QuietComfort 45’s noise canceling feature is also used during calls and voice commands. The built-in beamforming array separates and recognizes the user’s voice, while the rejection array can suppress and block out ambient noises, such as the sound of a coffee grinder in a cafe or a dog barking.

There is no mention of the sound quality or the performance of the noise canceling function, so it doesn’t seem to have improved from the previous model, but the noise canceling function now has a function that allows you to adjust the amount of noise cancellation in the app. It seems there is.

The cups are over-ear type, the shape of the headband and button placement are basically unchanged, and the ability to fold and carry in a carrying case is the same as the previous model.

In addition to the volume up/down and power/Bluetooth buttons, the right earcup has built-in buttons for answering/ending calls and playing/stopping music. This button is also used to summon the voice assistant.

The left ear cup has a built-in action button to toggle between Quiet and Aware modes and mute the microphone during calls.

The ear cushions feature a soft fit. There are no pleats, and the seams and joints between components are smooth.

The installed interfaces are USB Type-C and 2.5 audio jack. Bluetooth version is v5.1. Battery life is up to 24 hours with Bose Immersive Audio turned on. The battery can be fully charged in about 2 to 2.5 hours, and it also supports a quick charging function that allows it to run for about 3 hours with just 15 minutes of charging.
