From Acting to Music: Vinayakan’s Journey and Future Plans

Jailer gave Vinayakan the biggest break in his career as an actor. Vinayakan’s character was the antagonist Varman in the film starring superstar Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Siva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff as friends of Rajini. He gave a magnificent performance as Varman. Now Vinayak is talking about his future projects outside of acting. He says acting is his job but music is not. Vinayakan says that he wants to be known as a musician and will direct the film. In an interview given to SAARC News, Vinayakan talks about this.

“I want to release my own songs. I have made several songs. I have scratch for many songs but not finished. My current plan is to release them. I prefer to be known as a musician. Acting is my job. But making music is not my job. Music is a gift from God. If I don’t use it “Not true. I believe that music is after God. Then they ask what God is. Then they say that God means knowledge. I have composed ten to fifty-six songs. It’s just that I haven’t released them. I was in bed for six months due to a leg accident. That’s when I started making songs,” says Vinayakan. Earlier, Vinayak had composed the music for the song ‘Pushupulikal’ in Kammatipadu and the title track in Trance.

About his plans to direct, Vinayakan says, “I want to direct the second film. Anyway, I will direct the film, very soon. As far as direction is concerned, I just need to direct two or three films. That is the future plans”.
