(Haugesund – Viking 0–2) Viking spends at least one day at the top of the table after they beat Haugesund. Captain Zlatko Tripic (30) once again set the tone for the siddis.

Tripic was behind the corner that Sondre Langås put in, before he scored 2-0 himself in great fashion in the second half.
– It is fantastic. It’s a great way to start the last third of the season. It’s always tough to face Haugesund, says Tripic TV 2.
Thus, Viking is back on the winning track. The team from Stavanger had won ten straight before they played 1-1 against Vålerenga in the previous series round.
We have to go all the way back to 6 June to find the last time Viking lost (3–4 against Molde).
Viking not only managed to keep their best players in the transfer window, but also strengthened with, among others, Sondre Langås (22).
Trønder, who started in central defense due to an injury to David Brekalo, put Viking in the lead just before half-time.
– It means an incredible amount, says Langås to TV 2 after his first Viking goal.

– We are missing the Eliteserien’s best player in David Brekalo, but then Sondre Langås comes in and plays a magical game. He helps to decide the game for us, says Tripic about the 22-year-old.
It was the Viking captain who took the corner kick. He thus recorded his sixth assist this season. Midway through the second half, he also scored his 11th goal.
Samuel Adegbenro found Tripic with a smooth pass. The Viking edge pulled into the pitch, before curling the ball in the far corner.
The victory means that Viking spend the night at the top of the table, so it is up to Bodø/Glimt to recapture it on Sunday. They meet Rosenborg at Lerkendal.
If Bodø/Glimt win, they will have the same number of points as Viking (48 points), but go ahead due to a better goal difference.
Tromsø, number three in the table, welcomes HamKam at home.
