Due to a malfunction in the traffic control system, no metros are currently running through the Oostbuis. This means that metro lines 53 and 54 cannot currently run towards the center.
The disruption occurs at the metro stops on Wibautstraat, Amstel Station and Spaklerweg.
The GVB reports that the routes on both lines have been shortened due to the disruption. Towards Central Station, both metros cannot travel further than the stop on Van der Madeweg.
Custom route
The lines now commute between Gein and Gaasperplas to Station Zuid, which is normally not part of the route. From there, travelers can transfer to the North/South line, so that they can still reach the center.
Zuid is not accessible for travelers who travel via line 51, this metro runs to the stop on the Amstelveenseweg.
