the essentials Thursday evening at the Futuroscope in Poitiers, Tarn-et-Garonne received the 6th prize in the “Golden D” ceremony organized by the Journal des Départements.
Tarn-et-Garonne in the top 6 favorite departments of the French: it is not a claim to fame but for the image of the department and the perception that its inhabitants have of the role of the community, it is certainly a nice achievement marked by the departmental council with this trophy brought back from Poitiers.
Catherine Bourdoncle and Emmanuel Cros, vice-presidents of the departmental council, accompanied by the director of cabinet and communications Laurent Benayoun, were Thursday evening at the Futuroscope in Poitiers in the Vienne department to attend the D d’Or 2023 ceremony.
The only department in the Occitanie Region present in the prestigious “D d’Or du public” category, the Department of Tarn-et-Garonne therefore finished in this very good 6th place knowing that this competition recorded 41,000 voters… and that all departments could participate. This means that the residents of 82 have mobilized.
Michel Weill was not in Poitiers on Thursday evening: the president of the departmental council, who went to Paris to praise the quality of Tarn-et-Garonne products at the famous South-West Floating Markets, another beautiful showcase, said he was “very honored by this award which confirms the attractiveness of our territory and the proximity established with the Tarn-et-Garonnais.
He congratulates the Haute-Loire department, first in the “Public Gold D” category.
This distinction, organized by Le Journal des Départements in partnership with “My Citizen Opinion”, thus aims to put in the spotlight “all those who work in the shadows to make France move”.
