Vienna’s Rising Concern: Homeless Population Targeted in Series of Knife Attacks

After several knife attacks, Vienna is worried about the people living on the streets. The police are making no progress in their investigation.

Around 20,000 homeless people were recently registered in Austria. Now one or more serial criminals are targeting homeless people in Vienna.

On July 12th, a man was found dead by a passerby in Vienna-Brigittenau. The 56-year-old was lying on a park bench on Handelskai near a Lidl on the Danube. Someone had stabbed him. According to a police press release, the crime was committed at 7:40 a.m. He was the first victim.
