Kim Haeng, a candidate for Minister of Gender Equality and Family, reported a total of 16.39 billion won in assets under his name and his spouse.
According to the personnel hearing request submitted to the National Assembly on the 15th, Candidate Kim revealed that he owns an apartment worth 1.387 billion won and 205.62㎡ in Toegye-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul in the name of his spouse.
The largest proportion of assets were stocks.
Candidate Kim reported a total of 6.049 billion won in stocks, including 4.9 billion won worth of stocks in ‘Social News,’ which he founded, as a company that operates the social network news service ‘Wikitree.’
The spouse was also found to own a total of 8.72 billion won worth of stocks, including social news stocks worth 5.258 billion won.
While the couple has a combined savings of 76 million won, candidate Kim reported 10 works of art worth 165.5 million won.
Candidate Kim’s eldest daughter was excluded from reporting assets due to her residence abroad.
