Fans of products Apple in Indonesia it seems like we still have to bite the bullet because iPhone 15 won’t be coming to Indonesia any time soon. However, for those who can’t wait to own an iPhone 15, you can buy it in the neighboring country, Singapore.

Referring to Apple Singapore’s official website, the company has started opening pre-orders for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Pre-order registration is open starting today, Friday (15/9).

The four models of the iPhone 15 series can now be ordered via the official website Apple Singapore starting at 20.00 local time or 19.00 WIB. Each buyer is limited to only purchasing two units of each model.

Meanwhile, the first sale of the iPhone 15 series in Singapore was a week after the pre-order period, namely September 22.

However, you need to remember that if you buy a cellphone abroad, you need to pay an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) registration fee so you can get a network from a cellular operator in Indonesia.

How much does it cost to register an iPhone 15 IMEI?

The IMEI registration fee consists of several variables, namely Import Duty, National Added Tax (VAT), and Income Tax (PPh) Article 22 on imports.

Import duty itself is 10 percent of the customs value. Meanwhile, VAT is 11 percent of the import value.

Meanwhile, PPH Article 22 on imports is subject to 10 percent of the import value for those who have a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP), and 20 percent of the import value for those who do not have a NPWP.

IMEI registration can be done online at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise via the website via the Mobile Customs application which can be downloaded from the Play Store.

However, if the Customs Office has implemented Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD), IMEI registration can be done while filling in the ECD.

After registering, proof of filling in the electronic form in the form of a QR Code is submitted to the Customs and Excise Officer upon arrival to Indonesia. This proof is submitted along with your passport, boarding pass, invoice (if any), and other supporting identification.

If we have not filled in the IMEI registration form, we can register the IMEI by notifying the Customs and Excise Officer at the arrival terminal to record/scan the IMEI and passport.
