For two centuries, Balmoral Castle in Scotland and its surrounding lands have been a favorite summer retreat for the British royal family. However, some of his entertainment there will not remain the same.
Charles did as expected

The family will soon be unable to hunt on the grounds of the nearby Abergeldy estate, a right they have enjoyed for 175 years. And the reason is that the current owner of Abergeldy, Alistair Storey, intends to use his property in another way.
Storey plans to make the most of his nearly 12,000 acres of land by building accommodation as well as hunting lodges, the Daily Telegraph reports. The publication confirms that the sporting rights, which include hunting on the territory of Abergeldy, are once again in the hands of the real owner of the lands.
Alistair Storey is a 70-year-old tycoon with a successful catering business. He purchased Abergeldy in 2021 for £23 million from its previous owners, the Gordon family. The Gordon family has owned the place since 1482.

Abergeldie lies to the east of the Balmoral Estates, a castle with adjoining land that Prince Albert bought for his wife Queen Victoria in 1852. Much of the childhood of the late Elizabeth II was spent in Balmoral.
