Instructor or Taekwondo teacher the defendant in the child molestation case, Donny Susanto, was sentenced to 14 years in prison. The panel of judges at the Solo District Court (PN) found the defendant guilty of committing acts of sexual immorality against 9 of his underage students.
“Sentenced the defendant Donny Susanto alias Sabeum bin Hartono to 14 years in prison and a fine of IDR 100 million,” said chief judge Agus Darwanta when reading the verdict at the Solo District Court, as reported detikJatengWednesday (13/9/2023).
After the panel of judges read the verdict, the defendant was given time to consult with his attorney whether to accept it or think about it. After negotiating with his attorney, the perpetrator conveyed his decision regarding the sentence.
“Think about it,” said Donny.
The public prosecutor (JPU) Sri Ambar Prasongko expressed the same thing. After receiving answers from the defendant and prosecutor, the panel of judges closed the trial.
When the defendant was about to leave the courtroom, the victim’s family who were attending the trial immediately shouted at the defendant. They were disappointed with the defendant’s decision, who was still thinking about the verdict.
“Satan, devil, destroyer,” shouted the victim’s parents as the defendant walked from the courtroom.
